Co. Kildare Regional Tidy Towns Winner Crowned.

Straffan has won the Co Kildare accolade in the SuperValu TidyTowns Midlands and East Region awards.

The ceremony, attended by Minister of State at the Department of Rural and Community, Sean Kyne, took place last night.

Naas was highly commended, Maynooth was commended, and an endeavour award was bestowed upon
Allenwood

Kildare also won three special awards.

Maynooth TidyTowns Association was the "Large Town" winner for  "Let’s Get Buzzing

Naas Tidy Towns won the Youth Award,  Broadford TidyTowns won the Value Water Award

Naas Tidy Towns was runner up in the Sustainable Development Award for the Naas Neighbourhood Greenway
