Former Galway Hurler Tony Keady Has Died

Former Galway hurler Tony Keady has died.

The hurler of the year in 1988 and two time All Ireland winner fell ill on Tuesday and died in the early hours of this morning.

Ireland Head coach Tom Tierney says they have a few things to work on ahead of their next pool c match against Japan on Sunday.

The second day of the Sligo August meeting is dominated by hurdle races with The BoyleSports Handicap Hurdle taking centre stage at twenty-to-eight this evening.

Recent Galway winner Ben Button represents the in-form Willie Mullins/Ruby Walsh alliance.
