GAA Confirms De Búrca’s Suspension & Major Local GAA Weekend.

The Disputes Resolution Authority Tribunal has confirmed Waterford defender Tadhg De Burca's suspension will stand for Sunday's All Ireland semi final against Cork.

De Burca was suspended after receiving a red card in the quarter final win over Wexford for interfering with the helmet of Harry Kehoe.

There is no action being taken against Galway defender Adrian Touhy for making contact with an opponent’s helmet during their semi final against Tipperary.

It’s a busy weekend on the local front.

The minor hurlers play Kerry in Roscommon in the All Ireland minor B quarter final.

The county Intermediate and Junior football championships resume this weekend. 

This evening in the Courtyard Hotel, Leixlip Intermediate, Ellistown play Monasterevin in Hawkfield at 7.30.

Tomorrow in Hawkfield in the Junior championship: Caragh vs Ballykelly at 2, followed by Rathcoffey vs Rheban at 3.30.

In the intermediate grade tomorrow: Kill vs Kilcullen at 4.15, followed by Castlemitchell vs Sallins at 6pm: both games in Conleth’s Park.

On Sunday, the MD Sports Senior football league finals: Div 1: Naas vs Moorefield at 3.15, preceded at 1.30 by the Division 2 final: Round Towers vs St Kevins

Two games in the intermediate championship on Sunday in Hawfield: Nurney vs Clogherinkoe at 5, followed by Ballyteague vs Suncroft at 6.30

The county Camogie senior team was to play Wexford in Clane tomorrow,in the Intermediate championship, but Wexford have conceded the game.
