Members of Housing Action Kildare will be sleeping on the streets tonight, to highlight the homelessness crisis.
There were 141 people in Kildare in homelessess in August.
Nationally, the number of children who are homeless has surpassed 3,000, for the first time.
62 of those children are in the Mid East Region, which is made up of counties Kildare, Meath and Wicklow.
Housing Action Kildare is joining with Focus Ireland in its sleep out, which will take place at Newbridge Town Hall.
