LIsten: Social Protection Says It Will Be Some Time Before Pensions Anomaly Is Addressed.

: 11/13/2017 - 10:17

An anomaly which means people who took time out of work are getting lower pensions won't be fixed until the next budget at the earliest.

That anomaly affects 1,721 people in Kildare and is costing them about €1,500 a year in missed pension payments.

The Social Protection Minister Regina Doherty says it's an issue that has to be fixed, but she won't be bringing it to cabinet this week.
