The Tánaiste says the collapse of talks in Northern Ireland is deeply disappointing.
Foreign Affairs Minister Simon Coveney says he remains in close contact with the Northern Irish Secretary of State on the issue.
Simon Coveney also says both governments will need to reflect on how to best uphold the Good Friday Agreement.
The DUP say there's no prospect of a deal with a large impasse remaining between them and Sinn Féin.
