Plans to install a solar farm in Celbridge have been published.
Elgin Energy Services Ltd is seeking planning permission for installation of photo-voltaic panels on ground mounted frames on a 47 hectare site.
Its at Killeenlea, Ardrass Lower & Killadoon.
Its also seeking permission for the erection of 23 CCTV cameras.
Kildare planners are scheduled to issue their decision on May 6th.
The development description is as follows:
"a 10 year permission (to construct development) for a solar farm comprising: the installation of photovoltaic panels on ground mounted frames in rows on a site of C.47.44 hectares, a single storey onsite 38kV substation with compound, with 2 no single storey storage containers, 25 no. invertor stations , ducting & underground electrical cabling, perimeter fencing, 23.no mounted CCTV Cameras, provision of a new access from the L5066/Killadoon Road, provision of internal access tracks, and all associated site development and landscaping works
