Listen: Tributes Paid To Kildare Sports Photojournalist, Adrian Melia, On His Passing.

Tributes are being paid to Adrian Melia, the renowned Kildare sports photography, who passed away last night.

Adrian, a native of Coolree, Robertstown, lost his two year battle with colon cancer surrounded by his family in St. Brigid's Hospice, Moore Abbey.

Adrian was a photojournalist with the Leinster Leader for over 20 years, and his final assignment with the U21semi-final in Hawkfield.

Kfm's CEO, Clem Ryan, Leinster Leader Sports Editor, Tommy Callaghan, Kildare National Sports Editor & Kfm Commentator, Ger McNally and David Clinton, who organised the "A Question of Sport" fundraiser to raise monies for Adrian's treatment, joined Laura Donnelly on this morning's edition of Kildare Today.

Adrian's funeral arrangements are as follows:
Adrian Melia, Hazelmere, Naas & late of Coolree, Robertstown.
 
Reposing at his mother Pattie's residence in Coolree from 2 O'clock on Wednesday; rosary at 8pm.

Removal by Reilly's Funeral Directors on Thursday at 10.30am, arriving at Christ the King Church, Cooleragh for Funeral Mass at 11am .

Burial afterwards in Allen Cemetery.
