A Naas councillor says there are "huge efforts" being made to try to secure a buyer for the unfinished shopping centre in the town.
Construction of it on a former car park began in 2007, but came to a halt with the advent of the recession.
The structure now falls under the auspices of the National Asset Management Agency.
It is understood that it could cost in the region of €10 million to complete, or demolish, the building.
Kildare County Council has engaged in arbitration in respect of one part of the site, and arbitration in respect of a second interest is forecast.
Fine Gael Naas Cllr., Darren Scully, no stone is being left unturned in trying to resolve this matter.
