A special meeting on the document was convened by Kildare County Council on Friday, in response to a letter issued to it by the Dept. of Housing in respect of proposed material alterations to the draft document.

When originally on public display, provision for the construction of 3,200 new homes sparked public concern in Celbridge.
The most contentious issues seems to be the proposal for homes in the Donaghcomper area.
