Kildare County Council is being asked to set up a "phone and collect" system, as part of measures to combat illegal dumping.
KCC spends around €2.5 million a year collecting up-wards of 300 tonnes of fly-tipped rubbish.
Ind. Cllr., Morgan McCabe, wants the authority to establish the system for the collection of old mattresses in partnership with refuse companies.
His motion will be debated at the Kildare/Newbridge Municipal District meeting on Wednesday.
