Man United Advance To Europa League Semi Final.

It's reported that Tipperary's Jason Forde has been given a two game ban for his altercation with Wexford manager Davy Fitzgerald in last weeks Allianz league semi final.

According to the Irish Independent he's been charged with a category 4 infraction but Tipp will appeal the ruling.

The Central Hearing's Committee doesn't sit until next week so as it stands Forde can play in Sunday's league final against Galway in Limerick.


In Football

Manchester United have real concerns over Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcus Rojo who both went off injured in last nights 2-1 win over Anderlecht in the Europa league quarter final second leg.

The Swedish striker was substituted during the game with a knee injury while Rojo went off in the first half.

Manager Jose Mourinho says the prognosis is "fairly negative" on both.

The draw for the semi finals will be made later today.

In the SSE Airtricity league Premier division there's 5 games tonight.

Second placed Dundalk host Bohemians while third placed Bray welcome Shamrock Rovers.

In the nights other encounters Cork City are looking for a 10th league win in a row when they go to St Pats, Finn Harps welcome Drogheda and Limerick meet Galway.

In the first division Athlone Town play Wexford ,Cabinteely meet Waterford
and Shelbourne face UCD.


In Golf

Paul Dunne is 5 off the lead on 2 under after a second round 72 at the Shenzen Open in China.

Bernd WIESBERGER leads by 3 on 7 under.

In the United States Graeme Mc Dowell is just 2 off the lead on 4 under after round one of the Valero Texas Open.

Waterford's Seamus Power is level par.

Branden Grace holds a one stroke lead on 6 under.


Tiger Woods faces up to six more months away from golf after having yet another back operation.

In a statement, the 14-time Major champion says it was successful in reducing pain he's suffered down into his leg.

It's the third time he's had surgery on his back in just over a year and a half.

His most recent comeback ended with him withdrawing from February's Dubai Desert Classic.

Five-time champion Ronnie O'Sullivan will resume 6-2 up on 2005 winner Shaun Murphy at the World Championship in Sheffield later.
