Listen: Raft Of New Evidence Prompted Launching Of Kilcock Triple Murder Inquiry.

Its understood that the coming to light of several pieces of new evidence prompted the launching in Kildare of a triple murder inquiry yesterday.

20 year old Barbara Doyle and her two young nieces, 8 year old  Mary Ellen and 3 year old Kerrie Byrne  died in a fire in Church Lane, Kilcock on September 20th, 1987.

Gardai at Leixlip indicated that new information has prompted the decision

Cianan Brennan is a journalist at TheJournal.ie.

He says its his understanding that there are numerous pieces of new evidence.
