A Kildare Government TD says alternative space must be found for Naas General Hospital Emergency Dept. patients.
The number of people being treated on trolleys there has exceeded thirty for the last two days.
National figures, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, were described by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation as new records.
Kildare North Fine Gael TD, Bernard Durkan, says unused space in the hospital could be re-activated.
