Novena to Our Lady of Sorrows

from Monday 7th September every night until the 15th September.

The Novena takes place in different churches, Athy, Castledermot, Crookstown and Moone.

It starts with the rosary at 7pm followed by mass and benediction at 7.30pm.

Naas Photography Group Open Night

Luisne Centre McCauley place, Sallins Road, Naas.

New members welcome. No fancy equipment required just an eye for photos. Come down joins us for some refreshments and a chat about the many different workshops, competitions, guest speakers and group outings we run throughout the year.

to raise awareness of this day Newbridge Samaritans will be available at

at 3 McElwaine Terrace, Station Road, Newbridge (across from the parish centre) from 10am - 2pm

if anyone wants to find out more about Suicide Prevention and the services we provide in our local and regional community.

Naas GAA are proud to host the annual Morgan Lalor u13 Hurling tournament

on Saturday 12th September in Naas GAA with first match at 10.30am.

This event celebrates the contribution Morgan Lalor has made to Hurling in Co Kildare.

Teams competing this year include Ballyboden St Endas (Dublin), St Judes (Dublin),
Western Gaels (Wicklow), Athenry (Galway), Durlas Og (Tipperary), St Marys, Clonmel (Tipperary),
Greystones (Wicklow) and hosts Naas (Kildare). This event is proudly sponsored by local company's Trident Controls Ltd in Naas and AcryliCon Ireland in Clane. Naas GAA are inviting the local community to come down to the club and enjoy a great day of Juvenile Hurling.

Cpr courses for the farming community

Rathangan First Responder's are running free CPR courses, they usually time 7pm to 9.30 ish.
You will learn: Scene safety, Call for help, Difference between Heart Attack and Cardiac Arrest,
Treatment for both, Compressions, Rescue breaths with and without barrier device,
Use of Aed(defibrillator), Recovery position, Choking relief.
All practiced on Adult, Child and infant manikin.

You will receive a Irish Heart Foundation certificate, valid for 2 years.
This is a very worthwhile course.

Become a Newbridge SVP Meals on Wheels Volunteer Driver

Could You Spare a Little Time to Make a Big Difference?

Every weekday, Newbridge SVP Meals on Wheels Service delivers 55–60 hot meals
to older members of the community. For many recipients, this visit provides
not only a nutritious meal but also a friendly face, reassurance
and an important connection with the outside world.

To help continue this vital community service, Newbridge SVP is seeking
volunteer drivers.

ContacShare Food, the Newbridge Parish food bank, is appealing for donations of food.

Share Food has been operating in Newbridge for 13 years
and distributes 120 food parcels each week to people in need.

The group welcomes all kinds of tinned and packaged food as well as toiletries.
Donations can be given at collection points in Newbridge at Dunnes Stores, Tesco and SuperValu,
as well as at St. Conleth’s, Cill Mhuire and Dominican churches.
