Become a Newbridge SVP Meals on Wheels Volunteer Driver
Could You Spare a Little Time to Make a Big Difference?
Every weekday, Newbridge SVP Meals on Wheels Service delivers 55–60 hot meals
to older members of the community. For many recipients, this visit provides
not only a nutritious meal but also a friendly face, reassurance
and an important connection with the outside world.
To help continue this vital community service, Newbridge SVP are currently seeking
volunteer drivers to join their dedicated team.
If you're interested, please contact Kathleen O'Connor, Manager, on 045 433184,
or call into the Day Care Centre, Station Road, Newbridge (W12 FT73) for further information.

Share Food, the Newbridge Parish food bank, is appealing for donations of food.
Stocks of food at the bank are at their lowest levels ever
and the group is appealing to townspeople to donate generously.
Share Food has been operating in Newbridge for 13 years
and it distributes 120 food parcels each week to people in need.
The group welcomes all kinds of tinned and packaged food as well as toiletries.
They are currently short of most foodstuffs such as canned fruit, meat and fish;
tea and coffee; curry and pasta sauces; sugar, soup, jam, biscuits, crackers and cereals.
Donations can be given at collection points at Dunnes Stores, Tesco and SuperValu,
as well as at the three churches in Newbridge - St. Conleth’s, Cill Mhuire and the Dominican church.
