Clane and Rathcoffey Parish weekly lotto
Every Tuesday night in the Parish Centre, Main Street, Clane, at 8.00pm.
Tickets €2 each and the proceeds of the parish lotto support the running of the parish.
The current jackpot is €6,400 and there are 5 X €50 draws on the tickets each week.
Tickets can be purchased online here or from local community promoters and supporting businesses.

The Castledermot Local History Group invites you to join the following events:
Kilkea Church (R14 T925) Open Day on Saturday, the 15th of August 10:30 am - 2:30 pm.
It is steeped in history, and visitors are welcome to view the church and learn about its history. There is a short quiz sheet for children, a small car park at the church, and some parking near the school.
Levitsown Hall (R93 KA46) on Sunday the 16th of August - come and explore the memorial survey, fragments of local burial registers, journal extracts, and other historical material related to burials in Dunmanoge’s historic church ruins and graveyard.
Stitch in Time Display on Wednesday, 19th August, between 2 pm and 7 pm. The Castledermot Local History Group acquired a stitching sampler created by a young Quaker girl in Castledermot in 1692, and the public is invited to call in to Teach Diarmada Community Centre (R14 YF61) to view the sampler and learn a little more about it and Sarah Sparrow, the girl who made it.
Dr Sharon Greene will present a walking tour of Castledermot on Saturday, the 22nd of August,
10:30 am- 12 pm. Meet at Teach Diarmada Community Centre (R14 YF61) on Main Street. Parking available.

Join us for an unforgettable Barretstown Big Picnic , with a day full of family fun including Fossett's Circus, canoeing, archery, horse riding, face painting, food stalls and so much more.
The Barretstown campus will be open to everyone from 10:00am to 4:30pm, with plenty of activities to enjoy.
All Big Picnic activities are free, with the exception of Fossett's Circus, which requires a pre-booked ticket.
We'll also have special guests and entertainment to make this year's Big Picnic one to remember.

2026 marks the 200th anniversary of the death of Fr. John Moore.
He was known for effecting cures for various ailments
The committee would like to record stories of healing or experiences that people had at the well .
These can be dropped into the Heritage Centre at Milltown or posted to the Well Committee, c/o the Heritage Centre, Milltown,.
To celebrate this special occasion, Bishop Denis Nulty will concelebrate Mass at the well on 16 August at 3.00 pm.

Become a Newbridge SVP Meals on Wheels Volunteer Driver
Could You Spare a Little Time to Make a Big Difference?
Every weekday, Newbridge SVP Meals on Wheels Service delivers 55–60 hot meals
to older members of the community. For many recipients, this visit provides
not only a nutritious meal but also a friendly face, reassurance
and an important connection with the outside world.
To help continue this vital community service, Newbridge SVP is seeking
volunteer drivers.

ContacShare Food, the Newbridge Parish food bank, is appealing for donations of food.
Share Food has been operating in Newbridge for 13 years
and distributes 120 food parcels each week to people in need.
The group welcomes all kinds of tinned and packaged food as well as toiletries.
Donations can be given at collection points in Newbridge at Dunnes Stores, Tesco and SuperValu,
as well as at St. Conleth’s, Cill Mhuire and Dominican churches.
