Lidl Has Apologised To Senator Lynn Ruane, After She Was Asked To Change Her Clothing While Shopping.

: 06/01/2020 - 16:58

Supermarket giant Lidl has apologised to Senator Lynn Ruan after she was asked to change clothes while shopping.

Ms Ruane says she was wearing a swim suit top and says she was instructed by a worker that she was not dressed appropriately.

She's said on Twitter that men are "walking around in vests showing just as much skin".

Lidl has said the remark did not reflect company policy and the person who made it was a third party security worker who may not have been aware of its policies.
