Monday pm Sport: Dublin County Board: No Decision on Gavin Replacement ; Kildare Scoreboard, 6.30pm, Interview With Kildare Football Manager Jack O’Connor

The Dublin County Board chairman says no decision has yet been made on a replacement for Jim Gavin.

Gavin stepped aside as senior football manager on Saturday after leading the county to five successive All-Irelands.

Reports emerged this morning that 2011 All-Ireland-winning manager Pat Gilroy had first refusal to take the reigns once more.

The FAI has issued a statement saying it notes with "great regret" the decision of John Foley withdraw from his new role as interim CEO.

It's been confirmed the former Athletics Ireland Chief Executive will not be taking up the role, which he was due to start today.

Foley had previously agreed to replace Noel Mooney as the FAI's interim chief.

West Brom can return to the top of the table in the Championship this evening.

The Baggies will leapfrog Leeds at the top if they win away to 6th place Preston tonight.

Former All Blacks head coach Steve Hansen has confirmed his next move in management will be in Japan.

The 60-year-old has accepted a consulting job with Top League team Toyota Verblitz.

Hansen led New Zealand to the 2015 World Cup, before a third-place finish at this year's tournament.

Nigel Bond has beaten World Champion Judd Trump 6 frames to 3 in their best of 11 clash.

Two jockeys have been sanctioned over issues with doping tests, while one has a handed a possible ban for failing to submit to a test, the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board have confirmed.

Jockey David Simmonson has been suspended for two years after a doping test found traces of cocaine and cannabis following a meeting at Tipperary on 11 August.

Cian Cullinan has been suspended for four years after traces of cocaine were found in a drugs test at Listowel on 10 September, which again will be reviewed within 12 months.
