68% of second level students in Kildare go on to third level education.

The Irish Times' feeder school report shows 99% of students at Clongowes Wood College, and 95% of those who attend the Dominican College, Newbridge, go on to futher study.

There are, however, another 7 secondary schools in Co. Kildare with progression rates in excess of 80%.

Nationally, the study shows nearly all of those that go to fee paying schools, however, progress to third level.
