All Island Strategic Rail Review Announced.

The Minister for Transport and the North's Minister for Infrastructure have announced plans for a Strategic Rail Review.

It will look into options for sustainable connectivity between cities and ways to increase regional accessibility.

Feasibility studies will also be held into possible high speed networks, and the option of hauling freight with trains.

Ministers Eamon Ryan and Nichola Mallon will oversee the project when a tender is appointed to undertake the work.
