10 Maynooth U. Research Projects Funded Under New Foundations Programme.

10 researchers at Maynooth University are to receive funding under the Irish Research Council’s New Foundations programme.

The New Foundations programme aims to bring researchers and community/voluntary organisations together to share knowledge and develop new insights to help create a better society for all.

Full list of researchers from Maynooth University awarded funding under the programme:

Dr Catriona O’Toole has been awarded funding to conduct research on a project titled: ‘Sanctuary Schools: Building Capacity for Trauma-Informed Practice in Education.’

Dr Aisling McMahon has been awarded funding to conduct research on a project titled: ‘Patients’ Access to Advanced Cancer Therapies (PAACT): Ethics and Equity of Access.’

Dr Barry Cannon has been awarded funding to conduct research on a project titled: ‘RESISTING THE FAR RIGHT IN IRELAND: Optimising civil society strategies for countering far right organisation, discourse and growth in contemporary Ireland.’

Professor Sinead McGilloway has been awarded funding to conduct research on a project titled: ‘The CHERISH project: Promoting a 'Think Carer' approach in General Practice.’

Dr Treasa Kenny has been awarded funding to conduct research on a project titled:
‘Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation: Evaluation of Facilitated Dialogue Programmes’.

Dr Moynagh Sullivan has been awarded funding to conduct research on a project titled: ‘Making mediums to mediate breast cancer through sustainable narrative, art, and poetry practices.

Dr David Doyle has been awarded funding to conduct research on a project titled: ‘Understanding the Needs and Perspectives of Foreign National Prisoners (FNPs) in Ireland’.

Dr Ciara Bradley has been awarded funding to conduct research on a project titled: ‘Pavee Mothering during Covid-19’.

Dr Karen Till has been awarded funding to conduct research on a project titled: ‘Travellers' Tales and Memory Maps: A collaboration of Pavee Roads Home and Maynooth Geo
