Listen: New Plan To Support Recovery Of The SME Sector Launched.

SME Recovery Ireland has launched a plan to support the recovery of small and medium firms from Covid 19 restrictions.

These firms, according to the group, account for over 99% of all economic activity in the country.

65% of all people working in Ireland are employed by SMEs.

Among the measures recommended is an improved liquidity schemes up to €6 bn  that better targets small businesses and makes it easier for small businesses to recover.

John Moran is former Secretary General at the Dept. of Finance, and is Chair of SME Recovery Ireland.

He joined Clem Ryan on Kildare Today.
