: 08/08/2018 - 17:21

Kepa Arrizabalaga'sworld-record move to Chelsea close to completion

Athletic Bilbao has confirmed that the goalkeeper's 80 million euro release clause has been paid.

The figure was written into the seven and half year contract extension he signed in January.

It surpasses the 65 million pounds Liverpool paid Roma for Alisson earlier this summer, which means Kepa is set to become the most expensive goalkeeper in history.

Winger Adama Traore has been signed from Middlesbrough for an undisclosed fee, thought to be around 18 million pounds.
