A re-arranged Irish Open could replace the postponed Ryder Cup in this year's calendar.
The biennial meeting of the US and Europe has been postponed due to COVID-19 fears.
Padraig Harrington will instead lead Europe at Whistling Straits in September of 2021.
This year's Irish Open at Mount Juliet was also postponed due to the coronavirus.
The European Tour say a variety of scheduling options are currently under consideration.
Harrington says it's the right decision to wait when it comes to the Ryder Cup, as the matches are all about fans.
