A new way of predicting how aggressive a patient's prostate cancer is has been discovered.
Researchers at Queens University in Belfast say it could reduce or even replace the need for invasive biopsies.
It involves the use of a computer to read CT scans and see images that aren't visible to the naked eye.
3,400 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer in Ireland each year, according to the Irish Cancer Society.
