Sinn Féin is calling on the HSE to increase advertising of its unplanned pregnancy helpline because of its high level of use.
New figures show more than 9,300 people contacted My Options in the first eight months of this year.
They include nearly 250 women who had passed the 12-week limit for an abortion.
The service, which was launched in January, includes information on how to access an abortion and continued pregancy supports.
