Spurs Beat Leicester 3-1 At Wembley.

: 02/10/2019 - 15:41

Tottenham Hotspur have beaten Leicester City 3-1at Wembley to remain in the title race.

Colombian Davinson Sanchez put Spurs ahead in the 33rd minute with a diving header, his first goal for the club.

Leicester missed a penalty on the hour.

James Maddison went down under a challenge from Jan Verthongen.

The referee pointed to the spot - Jamie Vardy came off the bench to take it - but Hugo Lloris saved it.

And Leicester paid the price as Christian Eriksen whipped the ball into the bottom corner minutes later, with Son Heung Min applying the insurance with a breakaway goal in stoppage time.

Manchester City will return to the top of the table if they beat Chelsea at 4pm.

Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling return for the champions.
