The Ireland Rugby and Soccer Teams Train Today & Moorefield Ready for Portlaoise Challenge

The Irish Rugby team has returned to the Aviva Stadium ahead of tomorrow's November Test match against South Africa.

Skipper Rory Best has been taking his side through the eve of match Captain's Run.

Ronan O'Gara could be transferring to Super Rugby side Canterbury Crusaders, according to a report in today’s Irish Examiner. 

The newspaper quotes an IRFU source who claims to be "99% sure" that O'Gara will move to the southern hemisphere next season, as assistant head coach to Scott Robertson.

The former Munster and Ireland out-half joined the Racing 92 staff shortly after his retirement in 2013 and has a contract to 2019. 


Former Ireland captain, Kildare’s Fiona Coghlan will lead the Barbarians in their first ever Women's fixture today.

They play Munster at Thomond Park.

It will be the opening game of a Barbarians double header.
