A wide-ranging analysis of childcare needs in Co. Kildare will be launched this afternoon.
The report, which was conducted by independent researcher, Ann Clarke, was commissioned by the Kildare County Childcare Committee with funding support by the Department of Children and Youth Affairs.
It examined childcare needs in Kildare from the perspective of children, parents, childcare services and childminders.
An extensive consultation process was undertaken and it provided feedback from 88 children, 318 parents, 185 childcare staff and manager/owners, 21 childminders, amongst others.
The analysis will be launched in the Keadeen Hotel, Newbridge, this afternoon at 2.30pm.
