Trial Of Woman Accused Of Dangerous Driving Causing Death Continues At Naas Court

: 07/11/2018 - 07:43

The trial of a woman accused of dangerous driving causing the deaths of four people is to continue today at Naas Circuit Court.

Dayna Kearney from Crossneen in Co. Carlow was driving towards Athy in Co. Kildare when her car veered across the road and crashed into a van.

It happened at a quarter to ten on the evening of January 5th 2015.

Yesterday, the court heard weather conditions were good at the time and the stretch of road was relatively new and reasonably straight.

It is the prosecution's case that Ms. Kearney's car swerved onto the wrong side of the road because her tyres weren't adequately inflated  for the heavy load onboard.

The case continues today.
