Million Fund For Life-Saving Equipment To Be Shared Among 70 Groups.

A new million Euro fund for life-saving equipment will be shared among 70 volunteer groups.

The Government says it's giving 1-point-2 million to first responders like mountain rescue teams, first aiders and water safety clubs.

It's been approved by the Minister for Rural and Community Development, Michael Ring.

But he admits organisations will have to spend their own money before they're reimbursed:
