Wind energy operators want the government to urgently support the development of more offshore wind energy.
The National Offshore Wind Energy Conference in Dublin later will hear that policy changes need to happen faster to allow expansion in the sector.
Currently there is only one wind farm in Ireland off the coast of Arklow, Co. Wicklow.
The Irish Wind Energy Association is headquartered in Millennium Park in Naas.
