Next Year’s All Ireland Football Will Revert to September & Moorefield and Celbridge Winding Down Prep for Sunday’s County Final

The 2018 All Ireland football final is set to be played in September, despite GAA Congress voting earlier this year to move the hurling and football finals to August.

The 2018 football final had been scheduled for the 26th of August, but reports indicate it has been put back a week to accommodate the possible visit of the Pope.


Sunday is county football finals day:

Clane play Sarsfields in the minor final.

Moorefield and Celbridge meet in the Joe Mallon Renault senior final.

The Moore’s manager is former county player Ross Glavin

The Celbridge Manager is Trevor O’Sullivan
