Tues pm Sport: Ireland’s Soccer Women Draw With Greece; Naas Hurlers Leinster Semi Final vs Callan Fixed For Saturday

 A Greece equaliser in the third minute of injury time denied Ireland's women victory in their Euro qualifier away to Greece this afternoon.

Amber Barrett had given Vera Pauw's side a 13th minute lead, but they had to settle for a 1-1 draw in Panionios.

The result leaves Ireland second in Group I, and four points ahead of Greece who visit Dublin in March.

Shamrock Rovers defender Lee Grace is to spend this week on trial at Championship side Hull City.

The 26-year old was included in the PFAI team of 2019 for a fine season with the Cup-winners.

England manager Gareth Southgate has likened the altercation between Raheem Sterling and Joe Gomez to a family disagreement.

Sterling has been left out of Thursday's Euro 2020 qualifier against Montenegro after clashing with the defender at their training camp.

Southgate is standing behind his decision - and insists it was taken following consultation with all of his squad.

The former Wales boss says he's declined an invitation to apply to become Steve Hansen's successor as he's already committed to coaching the Lions next year.

Naas senior hurlers will play John Lockes of Callan in the Leinster Intermediate hurling semi final in Callan next Saturday afternoon at 1.30

The club has won the county senior, intermediate, junior, U21 and minor hurling titles this season.
