The leader of the DUP, Arlene Foster has called for closer relations between the UK and Ireland.
In a speech at Killarney, Mrs Foster said there are more things to unite than divide the two countries, as Brexit approaches.
She suggested leaders across both sides of the border should work together for the benefit of everyone:
Meanwhile Sinn Fein's Michelle O'Neill says a United Ireland is within grasping distance.
Speaking in Derry the party's leader in the North has also said she wants to see political institutions back up and running but they have to serve all people equally.
