
The HSE's decision to ask asymptomatic healthcare workers who are close contacts of a confirmed Covid case to go back to work is "too high a risk".
That's according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, which is calling for private hospitals to be fully nationalised to provide extra resources.
There are now over 7 thousand healthcare workers off work due to the impact of coronavirus.
INMO General Secretary, Naas woman, Phil Ní Sheaghdha, says it's not safe to ask healthcare workers who are close contacts but don't have symptoms, to return to work:
