Surge In Cases Of Chlamydia & Gonorrhoea Reported.

There has been 241 cases of chlamydia and 93 cases of gonorrhoea recorded by the HSE in the past week. 

Figures from the Health Protection Surveillance Centre show the number of people contracting an STI in Ireland continues to rise. 

This year alone over 1,600 cases of HIV and Sexually Transmitted Infections have been reported. 

Chlamydia is the most common condition of all the infections.
