Listen: 2018 Cheltenham Festival Gets Underway

: 03/13/2018 - 08:14

The 2018 Cheltenham Festival starts today, on the wettest ground in 36 years.

The going at the Gloucestershire track is officially described as heavy, soft in places, after rain in the build-up.

13 horses go to post for the Champion Hurdle which tops the bill on Day 1 of the Cheltenham Festival.

Talk, though, is likely to be dominated by the conditions.

Mike Vince looks ahead.

Manchester City need just two more wins to be crowned Premier League Champions.

Pep Guardiola's men moved a step closed to the title with a 2-nil victory at Stoke City last night.

Manchester United will be hoping to join Man City and Liverpool in the quarter finals of the Champions League tonight.

They welcome Sevilla to Old Trafford for the second leg of their last 16 tie.

The two sides played out a nil all draw in Spain last month.

Roma trail Shaktar Donetsk 2-1 heading into their second leg.

Both games kick off at 7.45.

Serena Williams has lost her first match since returning to the tennis tour - to her sister.

Venus beat her 6-3, 6-4 in the third round at Indian Wells.

Serena was making her comeback to competitive singles following the birth of her daughter.
