Pedestrians and cyclists are the focus of the country's next road safety strategy.
The current government plan was first introduced in 1998, and during that time, there's been a 68 per cent reduction in the number of lives lost on the roads.
A second strategy is currently being prepared, which will run until 2030.
Last year, 42 pedestrians and 9 cyclists were killed on the roads.
