May: BBC Must Explain Why Brand "Joke" About Throwing Battery Acid Was Broadcast.

: 06/13/2019 - 13:14

Theresa May has called on the BBC to explain why a "joke" made by Jo Brand about throwing battery acid was broadcast.

She made the comment on a radio show, referring to recent protests in which milkshakes have been thrown at right-wing politicians.

The BBC says panellists are often "deliberately provocative" but "not intended to be taken seriously".
