UK Police Investigating Leak Of Diplomatic Cables.

: 07/13/2019 - 11:31

Police in the UK are investigating the source of a controversial leak of diplomatic cables from Britain's ambassador to the US.

It led to his resignation - with Kim Darroch saying it was "impossible" for him to continue.

British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt has defended the publication of the leaks, but has condemned whoever handed over the emails.

His fellow Conservative leadership candidate Boris Johnson has faced criticism for not giving Mr Darroch his full support.
