The former Hazel Hotel in Monasterevin is no longer being used as an emergency reception and orientation centre
The Minister of State for Immigration, David Stanton, says the building was contracted for this purpose until the end of August.
The premises had also been offered to the Department as part of an 'Expressions of Interest for the Provision of Accommodation Services to Persons in the Protection Process'
He says the Department has contracted the Hazel Hotel to provide accommodation to people in this programme for one year
Everyone living in the building at the time of its change of operation have been transferred to another reception centre
