The potential refurbishment of the Monasterevin Day Care Centre moved a step closer this week with the news that a design team has been appointed by the HSE to the project.
The development will now be prepared for the planning permission stage with structural examinations set to take place on the building. It's expected to take around three months before the HSE will be in a position to move forward with a planning permission application.
However the issue of capital funding for the project is still to be secured.
