Councillor Fiona McLoughlin Healy has lodged a motion with KCC requesting that they deliver an update on the status of an invitation by the Council to the Curragh Forum.
The invitation asked the forum to brief councillors on what actions were taken by the forum over the last two years since its inception.
Councillor McLoughlin Healy referenced persistent littering and destruction of the Curragh Plains, together with the "failure to realise the tourism potential of this unique site" in her motion.
The forum was establish in 2016 to contribute to the ongoing management, protection and future development of the Plains.
Membership of the forum includes: Department of Defence, the Defence Forces, Gardai, the Curragh Racecourse, Curragh Racehorse Trainers and Kildare County Council
The next meeting of the Kildare Newbridge Municipal District is on Wednesday.
