A meeting is taking place today between the Minister for Education, a Kildare North TD, and Kildare County Council.
It centres on the requirement for permanent school buildings in Celbridge
North County Fianna Fáil TD, Frank O'Rourke, says two schools, St Patrick's Primary School and Celbridge Community School, are in temporary accommodation.
All four of the constituencies Dáil deputies have been invited to this afternoon's talks.
Frank O'Rourke says “We need to plan for our school buildings, and the more co-ordination, and focus, we have between the Department of Education and Kildare Co Co the better. Too often, we see different organs of the state working in different directions. I want the Department and Kildare Co Co to have a co-ordinated approach to cater for our school building requirements.”
