: 03/14/2018 - 11:32

The early stages of Alzheimer's disease has been found to present itself as confusion after surgery.

Researchers at Queen's University Belfast have found those who go through delirium after hip and knee replacements are more likely to have a toxic form of a protein called amyloid.

That's known to be involved in Alzheimer's disease, a common cause of dementia.
