The late paedophile priest, Malachy Finegan, ministered, in the Diocese of Kildare and Leighlin.
The Diocese, in response to a query from RTE, worked as a curate in Rosenallis in Co. Laois from 1953 to 1956.
The Diocesan spokesperson, according to RTE, said there was "no knowledge or record of any complaint or allegation concerning Fr Finegan".
Fr. Finegan was known to have sexually abused minors, a fact known by his own Diocese of Dromore.
The Bishop of Dromore, John McAreevy, announced his resignation earlier this morning, following revealations that he concelebrated mass in public with Finegan, despite Finegan being prohibited from doing so.
Earlier this week the former President Mary McAleese, speaking to RTE, called on the civil authorities in Northern Ireland to launch a public inquiry into the Diocese of Dromore's response to complaints about Finegan's abuse which, she said, stretch back as far as the early 1970s.
