Kerry’s Jack O'Connor will be proposed as the new manager of the Kildare senior footballers
The County Board issued a statement last night saying the Management Committee will propose his appointment, on a three year term, at next month’s Board meeting.
O’Connor managed Kerry to three All-Ireland Senior titles in 2004, '06 and '09, two All-Ireland U21 titles, two All-Ireland Minor titles, three All-Ireland Vocational Schools & one All-Ireland Colleges Hogan Cup.
He has also won three National Football League titles as well as numerous Munster titles at all age grades
His proposed backroom team will be announced over the coming weeks.
His two sons Eanna and Cian play with Moorefield and he gave coaching assistance to the club during their Leinster winning campaign two years ago.
