Kildare County Council is being urged to seek approval for the installation of a permanent signal controlled pedestrian crossing in Kill village.
A temporary crossing, on Main Street, was installed following before Christmas.
That followed the staging of a series of road safety rallies in Kill Village, and at KCC's headquarters, Áras Cill Dara.
Naas Municipal District LabourCllr., Anne Breen, says KCC should seek funding for the permanent crossing from the National Transport Authority.
Her motion will be debated at today's monthly meeting.
