A senior Muslim leader has said he would vote Yes in the referendum on the 8th amendment.
It comes as a new poll has revealed that forty four percent of people would vote yes to repeal the 8th amendment - while 32 percent would vote no.
17 percent have yet to decide according to the The Irish Times/Ipsos MRBI poll which was carried out among 1200 people this week.
Dr. Umar Al Qadri says that his religion teaches that abortion is not "ideal" but it is permissible in certain circumstances, and that the 8th amendment has made it difficult for doctors to make decisions:
