A busy club championship weekend commences tonight (Friday), with 13 games scheduled until tomorrow (Saturday) evening:

Action got underway last night in the Intermediate Football Championship: two late points by Fionn Dowling gave Suncroft a 1-14 to 2-9 win over Allenwood

Rugby’s Champion’s Cup Group Stage fixtures have been confirmed.

Leinster will kick off the defence of their title at home to Wasps, and will then travel to France to play Toulouse.

They will play Bath in the back-to-back games in December.

Munster play Castre over the same weekends.

They will open their campaign away to Exeter, before playing Gloucester in Thomond Park.

Connacht will host Bordeaux in their opening Challenge Cup game.
 

Manchester City have confirmed they will be without Kevin De Bruyne for three months.

The Belgian midfielder injured his knee during training on Wednesday.

De Bruyne was due to travel to Barcelona for treatment, but the club have announced the issue won't require surgery.

 

Liverpool defender Ragnar Klavan is to join Serie A side Cagliari for a fee believed to be £2m.

The Estonia international is due in Italy today for a medical.

Klavan has made more than 50 appearances since transferring from Augsburg two years ago.

 

Celtic have signed Australian midfielder Daniel Arzani from Manchester City on a two-year loan deal.

The 19-year-old impressed at the World Cup finals in Russia, where he was the youngest player in the tournament, and recently transferred from Melbourne City to Man. City.

 

Dundalk can go top of the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division tonight, if they beat bottom side Bray.

Shamrock Rovers play Bohemians in Tallaght Stadium.

 

At the Wyndham Championship in North Carolina, Shane Lowry is 1 under and 10 shots off leader Brandt Snedeker.

Graham McDowell and Padraigh Harrington are both a further shot back.

Seamus Power is four over par.
